Leader McCarthy Appoints Rep. Bergman to the Future of American Freedoms Task Force

Today, House Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy (CA-23) formally announced the members of seven issue-specific Republican Task Forces designed to identify and develop policy solutions to the issues facing the American people.

Rep. Jack Bergman was appointed to serve on the Future of American Freedoms Task Force which will be led by Rep. Jim Jordan, Ranking Member of the House Judiciary Committee.

The Future of American Freedoms task force will focus on defending foundational American freedoms, including the freedom of speech, freedom of worship, and the right to bear arms – all of which are being eroded by liberal cancel culture.  It will develop policies that protect these freedoms, restore American ideals like the rule of law and separation of powers, and preserve the freedoms of future generations in our schools and workplaces.

Rep. Bergman stated, "I'm energized to continue the fight for our American way of life and to defend our values and freedom. Cancel culture and disastrous Democrat policies are crippling our state and our Nation."
