Bergman Votes in Favor of Coronavirus (COVID-19) Funding Package

Rep. Bergman issued the following release after the House passed an emergency spending package to prepare for the effects of COVID-19:
"While the U.S. has already taken significant action to address COVID-19, this funding package provides additional resources to help the federal government continue our response. Our goal is to prevent the spread of COVID-19 both in the U.S. and abroad, and these funds will go directly towards efforts already underway such as distributing more diagnostic tests, increasing resources for vaccine development, and providing states and localities with much-needed support. While risks are still low throughout the United States, it’s imperative we prepare, while continuing to practice basic hygiene skills that help prevent further spread of COVID-19 and other respiratory illnesses.” You can read more about preventing the spread of COVID-19 from the Center for Disease Control HERE. |
