"I'm honored to have the opportunity to serve in this new capacity on the House Armed Services Committee and look forward to my role on each subcommittee. As threats emerge in the 21st century it's essential our warfighters have the necessary training and equipment to combat these threats, and that our weapons and fleet are prepared for the task. I look forward to working with my colleagues on the Armed Services Committee to ensure these goals are met."
