Bergman Votes for Military Pay Raise, Named to NDAA Conference Committee

Congressman Jack Bergman, retired Marine Corps Lt. General, released the following statement after the House passed the FY2019 Department of Defense spending bill last week: “The number one role of the United States Congress is providing for the common defense of our nation’s citizens. Ensuring combat readiness and military strength is crucial as we face uncertain times throughout the world. Our warfighters must be properly trained and equipped to face today’s threats with unprecedented power. From rebuilding our aging Naval fleet to providing the largest pay raise for our troops in nearly a decade, the measures taken this week help provide much needed stability and strength for our nation’s Armed Forces," said Rep.
