House and Senate Veteran's Affairs Committees to Hold Joint Hearing With Veteran's Service Organizations

Washington - Congressman Jack Bergman, Chairman of the VA Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations, released the following information regarding today's hearing by the House and Senate Veteran's Affairs Committees:

"Veteran's Service Organizations are the boots on the ground for our Veterans throughout the First District of Michigan. Continuing an open dialogue with our VSO's is an important step to keep Congress informed of the challenges they are facing locally on a daily basis.

"The number one priority of the House Committee on Veteran's Affairs is to strengthen VA care in the community, and continue the work we have started to improve quality of service and care of Veterans throughout the nation.

"Michigan's First District has one of the highest percentages of Veterans per capita, and delivery and quality of care must always be our highest priority. I'm looking forward to hearing the legislative priorities of the VSO's, and encourage all who are interested to tune in live to today's hearing."
