Bergman Speaks Out About President Trump’s Executive Actions on National Security

WASHINGTON -- Representative Jack Bergman (MI-1) issued the following statement regarding President Trump's executive actions on national security:

"I agree with the President that our first order of business has to be maintaining national security. At its heart, this executive order represents a temporary pause to make sure we have adequate vetting procedures in place to prevent terror attacks against Americans on U.S. soil. That said, I believe we should work to maintain our status as a welcoming, sovereign nation for the unjustly persecuted and for those in countries of conflict who have risked their lives to support our armed forces. I look forward, in the months ahead, to working with the Trump Administration to make sure our immigration policies protect the lives of innocent Americans."
