Today, the Department of Treasury announced the release of new withholding tables for payroll taxes following the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act becoming law. These new withholding tables mean that taxpayers will see immediate tax relief beginning next month.
Secretary of Treasury, Steve Mnuchin said he expects over 90% of taxpayers to see"an increase in their take home pay."
After passing this landmark legislation in December, 2017, Congressman Bergman said "The people who work so hard to provide a living and a future for their families in Michigan deserve to keep the money they’ve earned. The Tax Cuts and Jobs Act will provide pro-growth reform to our burdensome tax code and stimulate the economy".
The men and women of Michigan's First District are one step closer to receiving the tax relief they deserve.
