Bergman Supports Additional Disaster Relief, CHIP and Community Health Clinic Funding, and VA Choice ExtensionCongressman Bergman released the following statement after voting for the Continuing Resolution and Supplemental Disaster Relief Funding:
Washington,
December 21, 2017
“Continuing Resolutions are not a sustainable path for long-term fiscal stability, but Congress must make it a priority to ensure important and necessary government operations are supported. This legislation also includes important funding for Community Health Clinics and CHIP - programs that are vital for Northern Michigan and the Upper Peninsula. “Additionally, I voted in favor of $81 billion in emergency relief funding for Puerto Rico, California, and other areas devastated by hurricanes and wildfires. This funding is imperative to provide life-saving response and recovery efforts for those affected most by these natural disasters.” |
