Bergman Joins Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) Caucus

Today, Representative Jack Bergman announced that he has joined the House Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) Caucus, furthering his effort to cut waste, fraud, and abuse within the government. The Caucus will work hand-in-hand with Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy, advancing their efforts through Congress once President Trump is sworn in on January 20th.

Rep. Bergman issued the following statement:

“Cutting wasteful government spending has been my heartbeat since coming to Congress. If we do not get our spending under control, we will cease to be a country - and identifying and cutting waste and misused government funds is the perfect place to start. Americans are fed up with Washington’s gluttonous spending addiction. I’m proud to join this team as we renew our commitment and efforts to identify and scale back unnecessary government spending and get our Nation back on a fiscally responsible path.”

Last year, Rep. Bergman was appointed by Budget Committee Chairman Jodey Arrington to serve as the House Budget Committee Oversight Chairman.

In this role, Rep. Bergman has worked to identify waste, fraud, and abuse within the federal government and under Chairman Arrington’s leadership, he has laid the groundwork for the new Republican trifecta to make greater change. Bergman paved the way to begin restoring accountability, transparency, and integrity to Washington’s spending habits.
