Today, Rep. Jack Bergman released the following statement after Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle gave a concerning testimony before the House Oversight Committee:
Secret Service Director Cheatle must resign immediately - or be fired. The incompetency and lack of accountability is inexcusable.
The abysmal testimony from the unrepentant head of the Secret Service must be followed up by action, including her resignation. The assassination attempt on President Trump’s life has revealed many inexplicable holes in the Secret Service’s safety plans - or lack thereof - and the American People deserve the fullest transparency and accountability on this matter.
