Representative Jack Bergman joined with Representative Roger Williams, Chairman of the House Committee on Small Business, and the entire Michigan Republican delegation in sending a letter to Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson in response to the apparent and blatant weaponization of taxpayer resources to aid and abet President Biden’s re-election campaign in the state of Michigan. The Members asserted, “It appears the Biden Administration and your office have diverted funding away from supporting small businesses and used it for election purposes. This is unacceptable.”

Biden’s Small Business Administration (SBA) appears to be – perhaps coincidentally – engaging in electioneering with Democrat accomplices. The House Committee on Small Business conducted a recent investigation which found that 39 out of the 52 SBA outreach events scheduled in Michigan for January – November of this year are in counties with the highest populations of demographics targeted by the Democratic National Committee (DNC). And as the letter detailed, “100 percent of the visits to Michigan from the SBA Administrator and Deputy Administrator have taken place in counties with the highest populations of DNC target demographics.”

“Michiganders – and all Americans – deserve truth and transparency, which are two things severely lacking in the Biden Administration. My colleagues and I were greatly disturbed by revelations of a Democrat attempt to undercut the will of the people, using taxpayer dollars for Democrat electioneering. We won’t stand for it. Unelected bureaucrats might not be accountable at the ballot box, but we will hold them accountable in Congress,” Rep. Bergman stated.

A recent video also showed a special advisor to SBA Administrator Guzman’s Chief of Staff on camera saying, “anytime we go, we try to visit with a member of Congress if they’re a Democrat … because then we can help them get re-elected as well … the White House was like, yes, go. … Don’t invite the other senator because he’s a Republican. And don’t invite the two members of Congress because they’re Republicans.” The advisor continued to claim that Administrator Guzman’s official travel is purposefully targeted to “indirectly campaign for Joe Biden.”

The Members’ letter demands that relevant documents be turned over and answers be given from the Michigan Secretary of State.
