Bergman Compels VA: Ensure Rural Veterans Can Access Timely, Proper Care

This week, Rep. Jack Bergman questioned VA panelists in a House Veteran Affairs Committee hearing titled, "Rural Access: Is VA Meeting All Veterans Where They Live?".

Rep. Bergman engaged the panelists in a discussion on the importance of extending proper care and resources to rural and remote Veterans like those in Michigan’s First District. Mobile medical units, Bergman explained, are vital for providing access and bridging the gap in rural and remote healthcare.

The panelists agreed that there is a dire need for better tracking of wait times and access to care for Veterans, as well as the processing of patient feedback.
