Rep. Jack Bergman joined Speaker Mike Johnson and his Republican colleagues at our Nation's Southern Border in Eagle Pass, Texas, this week to meet with Border Patrol agents and again see firsthand the crisis facing our Nation.

Bergman noted that President Biden has failed to provide the resources needed for the Border Patrol to fully do the work they are trained to do, and urged the U.S. Senate to pass H.R. 2, the Secure the Border Act, immediately. 

"The time for talk is far behind us - we must immediately secure our Southern Border. We must ensure that those wishing to come here legally have a path to do so and that those seeking to come here illegally are stopped. The Biden Administration is derelict in its duty to the American people and being back at the border this week has further highlighted just how dangerous President Biden's policies are for our national security," said Rep. Jack Bergman.

During FY2023, Border Patrol seized enough fentanyl to kill the entire U.S. population, and in December alone, over 225,000 migrants were encountered along the Southern Border.
